In a candid interview with Fox News, the actress shared her thoughts on the pressures of aging in Hollywood and the public’s reluctance to let go of her younger image.
“For me, it’s not personally hard,” Hewitt said about getting older. However, she noted that fans often struggle to accept the natural passage of time. “I feel like fans pick… this age that they love that they think represents you, and you’re never supposed to grow beyond that.” Hewitt referenced a quote from Taylor Swift’s documentary “Miss Americana,” which touches on similar themes of public perception and evolving in the spotlight.
Now in her 40s, Hewitt recalled how people seem fixated on her youthful appearance from her 20s. “It was like me and my 20s … people seem to have a really hard time accepting that … I don’t look that way anymore,” she shared. Despite this, Hewitt remains grounded and ready to embrace the present.

Reflecting on her younger years, she offered advice to her past self. “I wasted a lot of time worrying,” Hewitt admitted. “I think I would just say to her like, ‘Look, it’s going to work out. You’re going to start getting old, and they’re still going to let you do things… it’s OK. You’re fine.'”
